What is the opportunity?

You will work with IT and Business project team members and vendor systems to design modify and / or build applications and integrated solution including third party systems and database servers for Market Risk IT.

You will handle all aspects of IT delivery including coding, testing, documentation and coordination. In this position you will work to develop a target platform, working with other IT partners for the integration of different applications.

What will you do?

  • Use different techniques and tools, designs technical solutions that meet business requirements and project life cycle deliverables including component reusability, data sharing and security.
  • Lead Development, coding, documenting programs of average to high complexity using different languages.
  • Write unit test plans and provides coordination and support of testing using different tools.
  • Design and development of data model and ETL implementations to support new data feeds
  • Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.
  • Write code according to accepted standards and satisfying user requirements and contribute to system architecture
  • Analyze complex SQL statements and effectively communicate with Business and Business analysts to understand requirements
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks and work as a team player with business analysts, data architects, project managers, and development peers
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must Have

  • 10 years systems, analysis and programming experience in Java and J2EE, Spring Framework, Multithreading and Agile development.
  • 3+ years experience as a Team Lead / Lead developer in charge of 5+ developers
  • Possess solid knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Nice to Have

  • Intermediate level knowledge on big data components such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, and MapReduce
  • Experience with Vertica database and Tableau Reporting is desired but not required
  • Knowledge of Trades and Positions (Capital Markets)
