Alteo is looking for a Scrum Master / Tech Delivery Lead for a permanent job based in Montreal.

Responsibilities :

  • Teach and promote Agile principles (Scrum, Kanban) to various levels within the organization.
  • Using the Agile method, manage and track team performance in relation to success criteria established for deliverables.
  • Ensure team compliance with the established development cycle.
  • Actively manage risks, issues and changes tied to application software development.
  • Ensure that the deliverables of development teams comply with established standards.
  • Conduct daily meetings to track the team’s progress in relation to the objectives of the sprint.
  • Conduct retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint to support team learning from past experiences and ensure continuous improvement in the development of application software.
  • Actively interact in implementing schedule deployments and resource planning.
  • Actively interact with the transformation strategy team in defining the objectives of each sprint / project.
  • Contribute to technical design, development and other tasks as needed to ensure the delivery of project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership.
  • Manage technical issues from onset to resolution.
  • Influence and participate in driving methods and practices of development teams.
  • Assist analysts and developers in implementing solutions.
  • Support architects in confirming the feasibility of recommended solutions and identify potential risks.
  • Profile :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Software Engineering or the equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with software development teams using Agile approaches, such as DevOps, API development and micro services.
  • 5+ years of experience working with sprint management (Scrum) and Kanban methodology.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and other Agile Atlassian tools, an asset.
  • Scrum Master Certification (must obtain within 90 days of start date).
  • Prior exposure to software development projects using AWS, Java JEE tools and services, an asset.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and business partners.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and technical application.
  • Superior organizational skills for staff and priority management.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret organizational needs and develop creative solutions in a technical environment.
  • Ability to analyze comprehensive business processes, perform in-depth work analyses and develop project management reports and flowcharts in an Agile / Scrum environment.
  • Ability to influence others and hold accountable without direct authority.
  • Excellent English and French communication skills, both oral and written.
