    Description : The Senior Analyst, Revenue Accounting Operations Support reports to the Chief Accountant, Revenue Accounting Operations, and oversees the review of system processes and procedures.

    They prioritize the operational tasks performed by unionized staff and solve complex, unusual problems. They provide support to the Chief Accountant, Revenue Accounting Operations, and analysts in the same department, as well as users from other departments.

    They produce reports and dashboards, and monitor and measure the results of improvements. They maintain the system control tables.

    Review of processes and procedures

  • Manages and documents process reviews and accounting system procedures
  • Acts as a system super user
  • Ensures the implementation of solutions in response to complex and unusual operational problems and communicates the changes to all department clerks and users
  • Training plans and documentation

  • Participates in tests related to various improvement projects and initiatives
  • Is responsible for developing and approving training plans and documentation
  • Provides training and coaching to unionized staff and managers
  • Supports the Accounting Operations Support Analyst
  • Management of operational tasks

  • Manages the operational tasks of the unit
  • Sets priorities and ensures the timely completion of tasks; measures results and conducts follow-ups
  • Provides support to the Chief Accountant, Revenue Accounting Operations, and the development analyst (development-related activities)
  • Is responsible for implementing and integrating various improvement initiatives within the team
  • Reviews monthly / quarterly / annual GL account reconciliations
  • Is responsible for coordinating auditors’ internal and external audit work
  • Various reports and dashboards

  • Develops the content of various reports and dashboards
  • Performs analyses based on reports and dashboards
  • Develops action plans for necessary changes
  • Maintains system control tables
  • Performs system access control (IT)
  • Resource person

  • Acts as a resource person by offering support to users in their department and from other departments Requirements :
  • College diploma in accounting or business administration
  • Good knowledge of general accounting and year-end accounting processes
  • At least eight years of experience in task management, prioritization and process review in the area of revenue accounting / accounts receivable and other accounting operations
  • Five years of experience in a role supporting the development of employees and / or resources; a combination of academic training and experience deemed equivalent would be considered
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and aptitude for systems related to accounting operations;
  • knowledge of sales management systems is an asset
