As National Lineup Editor, you will be in charge of assigning and coordinating editorial work and, when required, help evaluate journalists’ work.

You will also be responsible for determining the lineup of newscasts, programs and publications on our various platforms, by keeping up with developing regional, national and international stories.

In accordance with corporate standards and policies, you will process, vet and correct content, following up as needed with journalists and management.

You will also have sound judgment, leadership capabilities, as well as the ability to work well in a team and under pressure.


We are looking for a candidate with the following :

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or any other relevant field
  • Seven (7) years’ relevant journalism experience
  • Superior French-language skills
  • Proficiency with writing techniques specific to TV, radio and the web
  • Excellent knowledge of English to provide translations or adaptations of scripts or interviews
  • In-depth knowledge of regional, national and international affairs
  • Extensive general knowledge
  • Leadership
  • An up-to-date contact network
  • Thorough knowledge of newsroom logistics
  • Knowledge of production techniques
  • Knowledge of the Corporation’s Journalistic Standards and Practices (see CBC / Radio-Canada website)
