For positions with a teaching component, the applicant must be able to communicate accurately, effectively, and with clairity in the language of instruction.

Minimum Qualifications

A proctor’s role is to assist in the administration and collection of the exam and accompany students who need to use the washroom.

Only one student at a time may leave the exam room. The primary responsibility is to observe the students for any irregular behaviour that might be perceived as cheating and to report this immediately to the responsible staff or faculty member.

A proctor will not be permitted to read, study or use their cell phone while serving as a proctor. A proctor may not review any of the examinations nor divulge information to anyone about the exam.

All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

The list of training requirements may be modified by provincial law. If you are invited to continue the selection process, please notify us of any particular adaptive measures you might require.
