In carrying out your duties, you will be required to provide legal support to various internal and external clients within the broad field of entertainment law.
You will be known for : · Providing advice and drafting legal opinions for the various services supported by the senior direction;
Writing, revising and negotiating various business agreements;· Contributing to the development and improvement of contract templates;
Reviewing, verifying and performing legal quality control on contracts and documents in which the company is a named party to ensure compliance with relevant laws;
Taking preventive measures and establishing strategies to avoid or mitigate the risk of litigation or liability for the company;
Providing quality legal services that take company policies and strategies into account and focusing on the practical side of transactions;
Taking part in the negotiation of various partnership agreements and contracts;· Acting as resource person regarding how legal requirements fit in with the company’s business reality and operational imperatives.
We want to meet you if you have : · Barreau du Québec membership and at least three (3) years’ relevant experience in entertainment law (experience acquired in a major law firm or the legal department of a major company, an asset);
Attention to detail, thoroughness and excellent writing skills (essential);· Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure in a changing, dynamic environment;
Ability to manage priorities and a large workload;· Strong negotiating skills, analytical skills and insight;· Marked communication and teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach and self-
reliance;· Familiarity with current entertainment industry standards and business practices (an asset);· Fluency in French and English (essential).
