Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for experienced Options & Futures Specialists (intermediate to senior) located in either in our Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver office to support the expansion of our participation in this growing sector.

This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented person capable of working independently in a high-volume, pressure-

oriented environment. Inherent system deadlines require the successful candidate to possess very strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Additionally, the ability to balance these significant challenges and interact effectively with others is essential. The incumbent may be required to work Canadian Statutory Holidays when the US Markets are open as well as participation in monthly expiry weekend duties.


  • Timely and accurate daily reconciliation of Canadian and US options trades;
  • Administration of options assignments, exercises, expiries (daily / weekly / monthly);
  • Checking for straddles;
  • Processing corporate actions on options positions;
  • Transfers in / out of Client options holdings;
  • Options related collateral management and margin settlements;
  • Participation in monthly option expiry weekend;
  • Communication with Trader’s, IA’s (or Assistants) and support staff in a timely and professional manner;
  • Maintaining statistics;
  • Additional duties as assigned by Department Supervisor or Manager.
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of CDCC and OCC functions and procedures;
  • 3 5 years of related industry experience;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Detail oriented, with superior analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong data entry skills; accuracy and efficiency is required;
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel (Macros), & Outlook);
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively under pressure;
  • Knowledge of Dataphile, ACCURATE NXG Reconciliation Software, CDS, and NSCC / DTC an asset.
