What can I expect to do in this role?

The WSIB is building a candidate pool for current and future full-time and part-time, permanent and temporary opportunities for six (6) roles as outlined below.

We are building the candidate pools in our Toronto Office.

Should you be successful in this competition, you will be placed in a pool of qualified candidates to be considered for current and future vacancies for the six (6) roles listed below.

Major Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :

All positions :

  • Work in a team environment to complete tasks online using various software (including Guidewire).
  • Require attention to detail to work accurately online and with hardcopy documents.
  • Some roles have additional physical demands and lifting requirements.
  • Some roles require working variable hours
  • Access Review Clerk

  • Review, process and track access file requests in accordance with the WSI Act, FIPPA and WSIB policies / procedures
  • Claims Registration Representative

  • Match documents and register claims using Guidewire (internet based software)
  • Communicate with workplace parties and WSIB staff regarding claim registration
  • Document Management Representative

  • Open, sort, prepare, scan, search and match documents
  • Health Care Processing Clerk

  • Process invoices and manage exceptions through electronic queue
  • Records Clerk

  • Manage the assignment, reproduction and tracking of hard copy claim files
  • Mail & Courier Service Rep

  • Manage the flow of mail and delivery for the organization including organizing, collecting and sorting
  • Operate mail processing equipment
  • Education

  • High School Completion
  • How do I qualify?

    Professional Requirements and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer systems, in order to access and input information
  • Experience using software applications, such as Guidewire, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as, strong keyboarding skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as reading skills in order to process information and instructions received, to obtain information and to prepare file notes and template correspondence
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others and a strong commitment to and experience providing customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of office procedures and experience with office equipment, such as photocopiers and scanners
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics to complete production statistics
