The Senior Game Data Analyst will make extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis to derive insights in order to help improve the performance of IUGO’s games.
The Senior Game Data Analyst will also play a big part in the design and development of IUGO’s proprietary analytics system and help mentor junior analysts on complex analysis methodologies and techniques.
Working directly with both game development client and server teams to ensure the integrity of data collection is also a key day-to-day responsibility.
Develop data schemas for database design and implementation by development teams
Perform data analysis on collected data to provide insights to game teams on how to improve the performance of their games
Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and presentation
Identify key game actions / events for existing and new game features
Partner with development teams to define and prioritize informational requirements
Design data schema for efficient data capture and analysis
Create reports and data extracts against large data sets using BigQuery and relational DBs
Analyse, identify, report and project trends creatively in a variety of formats
Maintain Tableau dashboards and other reporting tools
Design and execute A / B tests
Evaluate data analysis tools for possible use within the company
Stay current with best practices on data analysis and game industry trends
Advice development teams on new data tracking techniques
Work with analytics developers to improve ETL pipeline
3+ years data analytics experience
Strong knowledge in BigQuery
Strong knowledge in SQL
Strong knowledge in Tableau
Expert level Excel or Google Sheets skills
Experience using mathematical / statistical models and software
Strong knowledge of ETL pipeline technology
Strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical theory and application
Experience working with large data sets and loves to work with data
Strong skills in problem solving and logic
Strong quantitative analysis skills and a good understanding of the principles of statistics.
Experience assisting in the design and coordination of operational quantitative studies and trials
Ability to perform under pressure, work on multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-
paced, complex environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
Ability to draft clear and concise presentations with excellent attention to detail
High degree of intellectual curiosity
Strong communication skills
Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, related discipline or equivalent experience
