Who They Are Looking For

Our client is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Corporate Services Clerk . Reporting to the Corporate Services Supervisor, the Corporate Services Clerk assists in the maintenance and preparation of Annual Reports and other Corporate duties.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Open and distribute incoming mail
  • Sort returned Annual Reports and collation of same for filing at Registry
  • Maintenance of corporate records filing, including online filings
  • Draft standard letters, documents and routine correspondence concerning incoming mail to registered office of the firm using application software (Word, Outlook and Alf)
  • Prepare Annual Reports and Annual Consent Resolutions
  • Maintenance of Annual Report bring forward system. Maintain bring forward system to ensure follow up and receipt of requested materials / documents
  • Prepare invoices and Post time sheets (using Acumin accounting software)
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Corporate Records experience
  • Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant Program and / or legal experience in a similar position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to draft standard correspondence with minimum supervision
  • Experience with Corporate Database (ALF) an asset
  • Experience with BC Online
  • Able to communicate with clients, lawyers and staff
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with billing / invoicing processes in a legal environment would be an asset
