Who They Are Looking For
Our client is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Corporate Services Clerk . Reporting to the Corporate Services Supervisor, the Corporate Services Clerk assists in the maintenance and preparation of Annual Reports and other Corporate duties.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Open and distribute incoming mail
Sort returned Annual Reports and collation of same for filing at Registry
Maintenance of corporate records filing, including online filings
Draft standard letters, documents and routine correspondence concerning incoming mail to registered office of the firm using application software (Word, Outlook and Alf)
Prepare Annual Reports and Annual Consent Resolutions
Maintenance of Annual Report bring forward system. Maintain bring forward system to ensure follow up and receipt of requested materials / documents
Prepare invoices and Post time sheets (using Acumin accounting software)
Minimum 3 years of Corporate Records experience
Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant Program and / or legal experience in a similar position
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Excellent English oral and written skills
Excellent organizational skills
Able to draft standard correspondence with minimum supervision
Experience with Corporate Database (ALF) an asset
Experience with BC Online
Able to communicate with clients, lawyers and staff
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with billing / invoicing processes in a legal environment would be an asset
