A Day In The Life

  • Teach children of all abilities how to hit the trails, including beginners. #makingmemories
  • Provide guests of Whistler Blackcomb amazingly friendly and warm service.
  • Follow all policies and procedures for safety, personal appearance and promote respect for our mountain environment.
  • Attend all training sessions and be responsible for maintaining your toolkit, first aid pack and bike.
  • Help the kids boast to their parents about the rad skills they learned during the day.
  • Have the best schedule! Work from 9 : 00 to 3 : 30 doing what you love 5 days a week with plenty of afternoon left to spend at the lake.
  • You’re Great At

  • Being certified with your level 1 PMBI guides course or equivalent, level 2 and 3 even better!
  • Having a minimum of 2 years of experience coaching kids aged 6-12, mountain bike coaching experience is a huge asset.
  • Working outdoors in ALL conditions (yes, we mean sun, rain, wind, +30 degree days)
  • Have a minimum Current OFA Level 1 (B.C. Certified) wilderness first aid or higher is an asset (can be completed after hiring).
  • Communicating and exercising your stellar guest service skills.
  • Tearing up the trails on your bike
  • Staying up to date on local trail and bike park trail knowledge
  • Making good judgments and remaining calm under pressure
  • Adapting to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining your own mountain bike
