Saint Elizabeth Health Career College, a BC Ministry of Advanced Education certified post-secondary institution is seeking RN or LPN Clinical Instructors for our Vancouver Campus Location to support current and future growth of our Health Care Assistant Diploma Program and other related courses.
In consultation with the Manager, BC Campuses, the RN or LPN Clinical instructor is responsible for the successful delivery of direct clinical instruction (Multi-
level and / or Complex Care) for students enrolled in the Health Care Assistant Diploma Program.
Current full registration with the CRNBC or CLPNBC
Available for a contract as a clinical instructor (complex care / long term care centre) (4-5 days week 30 hrs)
Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners (i.e. completion of Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent education or previous teaching experience with satisfactory references or positive performance evaluations and student course evaluations)
Two or more years of full-time nursing experience (1 year 1400 hours) with relevant knowledge of the Canadian health care system, the roles and responsibilities of health care team members and current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings.
Nursing work experience to include, experience working with older adults with complex health needs
Experience or orientation in home support and multi-level / complex care
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead, supervise and evaluate students.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Demonstrated ability to work within competing deadlines / priorities
Capability to learn new techniques and methods
Excellent problem solving skills and solution focused thinking skills
Position may involve evenings and weekends and use of a vehicle.
Please note this is a contract role September 10th - November 1st (4-5 days per week 30 hrs )
