What is the opportunity?

The Common Payment Services team is looking for a Senior Technical Systems Analyst / Application Developer to join the fast paced and exciting world of payment services application development.

You will be responsible for delivering applications designed to resolve business system needs while working closely with various partners across IT.

Duties include design and development for FTM applications in a WMB / IIB environment. You will be involved in all aspects of the development and or maintenance process within a well-

established team. The preferred candidate could have some experience with middleware technologies such as WMB / IIB and MQSeries, worked in an application development role for 1-

2 years and have familiarity with z / OS.

What will you do?

  • Design, code and document applications in a WMB / IIB environment
  • Execute unit test, system and integration test
  • Provide consulting services on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity).
  • Assess, research and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs and PLC deliverables including component reusability, data sharing and security.
  • Prepares high level and detailed technical specifications for small to medium projects in accordance with PLC, security and architecture documentation objectives.
  • Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
  • If required, develops criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises.

  • What do you need to succeed?


  • 5+ years of experience in an application development role.
  • Experience / Understanding with different design techniques / tools (e.g. OO. Top-down, structured analysis, component-
  • based design) and Middleware technologies - MQSeries, WMB / IIB

  • Worked with different programming language experience (e.g. ESQL,JCL, Java, C, ,XML)
  • DB / 2 & SQL Experience and or Knowledge.
  • Experience / Understanding of Automated Build / Deploy process through Jenkins’ and familiar or experience with the DevOps / Agile Methodology.
  • Knowledge of multiple platforms e.g. z / OS, Internet, Client / Server and the ability to select appropriate one to meet business needs.
  • Nice-to-have

  • The use of QA automation tools like Rational Integration Tester’ would be a plus
  • University / College Graduate, preferably graduate in computer science, finance, mathematics or physical sciences
