On behalf of our client, a well-established Canadian organization, Procom Consultants Group is seeking 2 Intermediate / Senior s with good Digital Signal Processing experience to join an excellent Product Development team in Calgary (Permanent job only Start ASAP).

Audio DSP Firmware Developer - Job Details

  • Design & implement firmware to achieve architectural & functional requirements, along with performance & quality metrics.
  • This may include a range of features, including bootloaders & embedded applications, & will initially be focused on our audio product line.

  • Work with the project team to recommend hardware solutions to complement the company’s software product suite, addressing customer & market requirements.
  • Establish a firmware development strategy based on overall system architecture & deliverables.
  • Assemble schedules & budgets for firmware development activities.
  • Create & maintain design documentation.
  • Develop design test plans & tools to verify system performance & quality, & work with NPI to support volume manufacturing.
  • Support & contribute to the organization’s evolving end-to-end product development processes by applying relevant best practices to ensure consistent delivery of quality products.
  • Maintain a comprehensive awareness of the technology landscape & identify opportunities for future product portfolio enhancements.
  • Audio DSP Firmware Developer - Mandatory Skills

  • University degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or any related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in electronics hardware & firmware development using the C programming language.
  • Extensive knowledge of AUDIO processing algorithms & filters encompassing Echo Cancellation & Noise Suppression.
  • Proven ability to design & debug microcontroller & DSP -based embedded products ( Digital Signal Processing ).
  • Experience designing interfaces using USB , I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet & others
  • Experience with typical firmware development tools, including IDEs, configuration management tools, debugging tools & oscilloscopes.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
  • Proven interpersonal & communications skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment (need to be a good team player).
  • Nice to have : FPGA digital Engineering / components experience. )
