JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Business Development Manager for JLL’s top real estate brokerage team in Canada who specialize in providing a full range of real estate solutions for local, national and international portfolios of large corporations.

The team brings expertise in Portfolio Strategy, Transaction Management, Project Management, Lease Administration and Business Consulting to ensure that the real estate portfolio of our national and international Clients in each and every market is directly aligned with their core business.

We have a dedicated focus on effective multi-market transaction management around which we customize a real estate solution incorporating other areas of expertise to deliver data driven valuable solutions for our Clients.


  • Develop and define an effective value proposition and go to market strategy;
  • Translate the market strategy into specific Business Development plans across various industry sectors;
  • Research prospects and provide corporate x-ray analysis;
  • Customize Business Development plans reflective of the profile of the prospects;
  • Derive and customize a segmented Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy reflective of the profiles;
  • Manage and maintain the CRM system to reflect all contact, strategies, actions and opportunities;
  • Manage and update a well-qualified pipeline of prospects by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with key decision-
  • makers;Generate new leads, screen potential business leads, etc.;Research, source, make initial contact (cold calling, email) and introduce prospects to the team;
  • Consistent follow up activities;
  • Research, prepare and deliver customized Client presentations, research reports, etc.;
  • Close new business by coordinating requirements and negotiating contracts reflective of prospect business operations;
  • Communicate the team’s value proposition consistently and repetitively with JLL Practice Leads and individual Brokers;
  • With JLL resources ensure the efficient and effective development of both internal and external marketing and promotional materials;
  • Network, attend and become a participating member of industry organizations such as NAIOP, CoreNet, SIOR, etc.;

  • It is agreed that as part of the new role there will be several months of required learning of the JLL platform which is to be completed in parallel to the candidate’s fulfilling of the Roles and Responsibilities above.
  • Training and onboarding will be provided by JLL through its technology platform and global network.


  • Proven success in deriving, implementing and measuring the success of effective CRM strategies;
  • Professional presentation skills suitable for a variety of audience profiles including procurement and executives;
  • Minimum 5 years of real estate experience or knowledge is an asset;
  • Minimum 10 years of business experience is mandatory;
  • Excellent communication, writing and reporting skills;
  • Fully competent in MS Office and presentation tools / technology;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Must be able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment;May require on-call activity after regular office hours;
  • Operates with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders;
