Be responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted supply of product while minimizing the cost of obsolete inventory, during the execution of various promotions and product transitions and menu phase outs for this fast food giant.
Manage distributor performance to ensure each distribution centre is performing at or above the established service metrics.
Analyze inventory at all levels of the supply chain (supplier, redistribution, cross dock locations and distribution centers.
Review purchase orders for correctness and implement changes, cancellations or new orders as needed. Provide ongoing support to distributors, suppliers and franchisee prior to, during, and after each promotion or in-restaurant test.
Work with marketing to understand forecast and review. Work with Supply Chain Analyst to develop item level demand forecasts for promotions as well as product transitions and menu phase out activities, including regional product allocation.
Track and analyze performance. Manage distributor service and performance. Conduct periodic reviews regarding performance.
Review and approve contractual updates to distributor's 'fee per case.' Address and resolve all franchisee issues and requests on a timely basis.
Prepare documents to support promotional activity such as purchasing commitment documents, item level forecasts, DC communications, franchisee communications, etc.
Manage depletion of excess inventory by coordinating product transfers, selling off product to salvage, or resolving financial responsibility with the distributors.
Requirement Note :
Ideal candidate has a university degree and / or 5 - 8 years of work experience within the food, beverage, and marketing / promotion fields.
Highly developed analytical skills, Excel (lookups, pivot tables, training may be offered here), problem solving skills.
Ability to multitask and have a sense of urgency in a constantly changing and fast paced environment.
