Consultants are responsible to ensure our client secures property interests including land use agreements for cell sites and towers and secures the necessary municipal and federal regulatory approval for such uses.
This is achieved through negotiate of new cell site agreements with private land owners, the Gov't of BC for Crown land sites, and with various levels of governments for rooftop cell sites, using our clients agreement documents.
This includes, but is not limited to, the identification of viable candidate sites based on information provided by our radio-
frequency engineering group to meet network expansion and densification requirements. Directing and working with contract Land Agents, the Real Estate manager will be responsible to negotiate market rate agreements that ensure long-
term tenancy for our clients infrastructure. They must complete and submit standard acquisition documents and are required to act as the Real Estate representative within our client working with RF Engineering, Implementation, Transport, and other groups.
In addition, consultants are required to prepare for and facilitate public consultation meetings and to ensure all necessary government approvals are obtained, including the resolution of any First Nations issues that may be present for a particular candidate site.
As well, the consultant is required to ensure that everything has been completed and documented to ensure that all Industry Canada requirements have been met.
