About the Opportunity

My client is seeking an experienced Bilingual Legal Assistant for a six month contract to work in their in-house Legal department to ensure the smooth running of the office and effective case management.

Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Calendar management for three senior legal professionals
  • Conducts research to locate and develop case information
  • Creating legal files; drafting, document revisions and corporate organizational matters such as minute books
  • Docketing, preparing and delivery of invoices
  • Processes expense reports
  • The ability to commit to four mornings per week as a regular work schedule
  • About You

    The successful candidate will have the following :

  • Legal Assistant / Law Clerk / Paralegal Certificate
  • Three to five years of relevant legal experience, ideally supporting a professional in such practice areas as litigation, corporate, insurance or regulatory law
  • Superior attention to detail, organizational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • The ability to support multiple professionals, dealing with competing priorities and multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills that will allow them to deal effectively with clients and internal members of the team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in both Oral and Written English & French
