GP Canada Co , A division of GP Strategies, is looking for dynamic, motivated, results-oriented full-time and contract Project Managers for our Toronto office.
Motivated by challenges, a self-starter, with a proven track record managing digital learning and / or digital projects from inception to implementation and closure, candidates must be people-
and service-oriented leaders who are results-driven, innovative, problem-solvers, embrace change and think strategically.
This role is client-facing and relationships will be key as things move quickly at GP. Building mutual trust is fundamental to running successful projects.
Project Managers will be responsible for projects of varying size, from $50k to $150k. It will be integral that you not only know your craft, but that you prepare yourself to take on bigger and more complex projects.
Manage all aspects of a GP project, from inception to closure, ensuring that the business needs and goals of the client are met, and the negotiated commitments on cost, quality, schedule, scope and time-
to-market are achieved :
Follow company processes to meet project objectives.
Lead digital Learning projects from 4 weeks to 18 months in duration.
Manage multiple projects at once with teams of 3 to 10 or more people.
Provide motivation and direction to the team.
Demonstrate a consistent commitment to exceed expectations.
Communicate project objectives and success criteria to the team.
Track and communicate project status, issues, risks and decisions to senior management.
Set project quality and performance standards.
Communicate resource requirements to the Project Director.
Manage customer, third-party partner and vendor relationships as necessary.
Negotiate contracts with external resources for the execution of mandates, as required.
Manage project schedules, facilitate meetings, and provide status reports to management team and clients.
Successfully interact with and support virtual teams.
Be accountable for on-time delivery of team deliverables.
Managing historical data for estimating and continuous improvement purposes.
An excellent project management track record (5 years minimum) with 2 years of experience managing digital learning or other media type projects.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Commitment to services and delivery excellence.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to listen and understand stakeholders needs and develop value-added solutions to address those needs.
Creative, innovative and strategic thinker.
High level of Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Experience contracting with and coordinating the efforts of external consultants and vendors.
Work effectively with virtual teams;
As well as the skills and attributes listed above, the following would be considered an asset :
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Previous experience managing Marketing, Communication, Digital Learning or Digital projects
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Digital Learning standards (AICC / SCORM, xAPI), instructional design, and multi-media production
Knowledge of multimedia and digital Learning development or authoring tools
