Summary of Responsibilities :

Reporting to The Lobby Lounge Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

Do you want to

  • Provide timely, personalized,friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our discerning guests.
  • Serve, refresh, clear and re-settables in a timely manner, while adhering to Fairmont Hotels and Resortsstandards.
  • Ensure that overall cleanlinessand maintenance of our restaurant exceeds expectations
  • Maintain work section in anorderly and timely manner (clearing tables, refreshing beverages, removing fooditems).
  • Complete side duties in timelymanner (side stations properly stocked).
  • Takes proper measures to ensureguests bills are presented and posted in a timely manner (whether by cash,credit card or room charge) and that group bills are properly coded andidentified (in accordance to Fairmont Hotels & Resort Standards).
  • Assist colleagues in daily tasksas required.
  • Bring any concerns to theattention of the Manager On Duty (related to internal or external guests, foodor service quality, operation of the room, physical surroundings or plant).
  • Activelyparticipate and promote the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s environmental program anddepartment specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.
  • To be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Upholds thehighest standard of internal and external customer service by demonstratingFairmont Pacific Rim standards and applying 5 Star Service Standards at alltimes.
  • Qualifications :

  • Musthave minimum 2 years’ serving experience in high volume / turnover fullservice restaurant.
  • Musthave thorough working knowledge of wines, scotches, ports and liqueurs.

    Musthave experience with Point of Sales systems (i.e. Squirrel, Remanco, Micros).

  • Must be able to work independently in a high volume work environment
  • Must be a team player, energetic, outgoing, reliable and punctual
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Must be service orientated, personable and able to provide superior guest service
  • Previous high-volume food and beverage experience is required
  • Previous experience in a 5 diamond / 5 Star hotel environment is an asset
  • A Degree or Diploma in Hotel / Hospitality or Tourism is an asset
  • Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to ) :

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Constant lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
