Oxford Learning Don Mills is currently looking for an upbeat and dynamic teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment.
Our programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills in Math and Science from Grades K-12.
Our tutors can expect a steady income teaching the subjects they love! All instruction is done at our centre so there is no need to waste time traveling to each student's home.
We provide all of the curriculum and rely on our teachers to interpret, explain, and guide our students to understanding and connecting with the material.
A good candidate for this position must possess the following :
Ability to effectively teach High School math & problem solving skills
Relevant university degree (BMath, BSc) - OCT preferred
Math / Science teaching and / or tutoring experience
Strong working knowledge of the current Grades 9 -12 Math curriculum including Linear Algebra, Trig, Advanced Functions, Calculus & Data Management
Additional teaching strength in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Willingness to teach other elementary subjects such as English and French is an asset
Teaching Requirements :
Superb written and oral English skills and an excellent ability to communicate with students
Dynamic, passionate and energetic personality
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Friendly, energetic and flexible personality
Must be available Monday - Friday (3 :
45pm start time)
Approximately 15 hours to start (will increase with time)
A one year commitment is required to keep a stable and consistent learning environment for our students
Immediate availability and flexible schedule is an asset
Wage - $16 / hour
