Responsibilities :

  • Designing drytype air core reactors shop orders with the aid of specialized computer programs, to meet customer specifications inthe most cost effective manner while meeting the requirements of internal design guidelines and international standards
  • Designing buswork, reactor enclosures, reactor support structures and other accessories required by customer specifications
  • Responsible to ensure that all Reactor Engineering activities are performed and documented as per applicable procedures
  • Ensure adherence to Trench’s customer service policy
  • Providing written instructions to Production for the manufacturing of each reactor
  • Documenting instructions for the Test Lab covering complete reactor testing
  • Troubleshooting design related difficulties experienced in Test or Production
  • Liaising (verbally and in writing) with customers regarding their specifications, in order to clarify issues and arrive at the optimum reactordesign for each project Working effectively with members of several departments ( e.
  • g. R&D, Marketing, Drafting, Purchasing) to optimize equipment designand aid in product development

  • Problem resolution for project related issues
  • Responsible for ensuring that all possible actions are taken to achieve on time deliveries for respective orders
  • Promotes highest level of customer service

  • Build strong partnerships with Inside Sales, Order Management, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Finance, SCM, IT and all other internal stakeholders through clear and consistent communication
  • Customers

  • Educate and provides technical support to external customers
  • Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a university degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Science or college technologist diploma in electrical technology (3 year program minimum)
  • Excellent SAP skills.
  • Specialty in power systems is an asset.
  • Experience in electrical equipment design, computer software development and work in the power system field and / or manufacturing are assets.
  • High voltage products design experience desired.
  • Project Management experience is an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment both independently or a part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self motivated and proactive with respect to managing workload and own professional development.
  • Capable of motivating other team members. Must have a quality conscious approach to work and be a team player
  • Possess excellent management, interpersonal and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers is required
  • Knowledge of other languages is an asset
