Calgary Alternative Day Options is looking for an outgoing creative person to support an individual in the community. Key responsibilities include supporting this individual to find and maintain vocational and recreational activities.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Wednesday 830-1330, Thursday 830-1430 The hourly pay rate for this position begins at $18.
40 and will increase to $20.25 upon completion of a successful probationary period and completion of mandatory training. All CASS staff are required to provide a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
Required Education :
Disability Studies Diploma or equivalent
Required Training :
Health and Safety; Abuse Awareness; Introduction to Your Role; Challenging Behaviours (Part I&II). The majority of these courses are offered either online or in-house.
Previous experience providing community support to adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Other Required Skills :
Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle willing to use for work.
