As the Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Planner, you will provide planning support to facilitate efficient execution of maintenance activities.
Key tasks, responsibilities & accountabilities include :
Review and validate clarity of work requests
Produce cost estimates as required
Receives approved work orders for planning
Build plans that minimize equipment downtime and maximize safe / efficient / effective use of resources
Initiate the interface between maintenance and other business areas to develop an integrated plan
Utilize planner complexity guidelines to determine the extent of detailed planning required
Define scope of work for contract services
Identify material needs
Initiate procurement and track status of materials and contract services
Test the plan to ensure alignment with original objectives
Produce the job pack as defined by GRS guidelines
Recycle major changes and deviations from the plan
Responsible for GRS planning related measures
Facilitate planning meetings as required
Develop standard plans and maintain job-pack library
Initiate the review of plan performance for continuous improvement of the planning.
High school diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
Trades certification or College Technologist Diploma, preference will be given to electrical certifications.
Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Minimum 5 years of petro-chemical plant experience in planning, scheduling or supervision.
Experience in routine maintenance will be considered a high value asset
Experience in equipment root cause failure analysis and troubleshooting to generate repair recommendations
Highly self-motivated and able to able to identify and self-resolve issues independently with little supervision
Maintenance and / or Project experience in a multi-discipline working environment.
Field craft experience or equivalent (Electrical background an asset)
Knowledge of planning process, procedures and tools.
Strong working knowledge of SAP or other interim computerized planning systems and software
Understanding of and stewards all the key processes that support maintenance
Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations.
Credibility to set high standards and promote continuous improvement for the corporation.
Structured, organized, methodical detail orientated and problem solving abilities
