CIMA+ is looking for a senior Engineer in Mineral Processing to build and lead the CIMA+ M&M group, at its Montreal Office, and to provide expertise and high quality consulting services for our clients.
The M&M group will focus in the Mineral Processing Field with particular focus on gold and iron ore; exposure to the Graphite and Ferro-
alloy Industry would be considered beneficial.
Reporting to the Industry Vice-president, your main role will be to build and lead a world-class technical team who will participate in all phases of mining projects, from conceptual and prefeasibility studies to commissioning.
As part of our Industrial group, you will be involved in the development of business opportunities through pursuit, then conceptual, pre-
feasibility, feasibility studies, detail engineering and subsequent execution phases (EP, EPC, EPCM projects).
Participate in the preparation and review of service offers and proposals;
Active Business development through your contact network and networking activities in technical and business conferences;
Gain access to the mineral processing industry in Quebec, Canada and North America by offering : (1) process assistance, (2) engineering for large mineral processing projects including Greenfield developments and brownfield expansions, (3) look for alliance engineering opportunities in the sector;
Active Leadership in the development of the M&M study group (attraction, interview, selection, integration and mentoring);
Lead Conceptual, Pre-feasibility and Feasibility studies, including NI-43101;
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering project teams involved in M&M studies and engineering, and assume a technical lead as needed;
Support the discipline lead in assessing and fixing any skill gaps related to M&M in the engineering disciplines;
Manage project or participate as part of a project team;
Plan and analyze metallurgical test work or to conduct / oversee process simulations;
Act as a specialist in crushing and grinding circuits including liaising with clients on a technical level;
Evaluate and select technologies that improve the safety, efficiency and profitability of clients operations;
Assess and audit plant processes to identify technical problems / limitations while developing cost effective technical and operational solutions to solve these issues with respect to the equipment, equipment modifications or process modifications;
Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system;
Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices, understand and follow OH&S procedures;
Participate and promote CIMA+ expertise in the crushing and grinding through conferences and publications.
University Degree in Mineral Processing or Metallurgy;
A minimum of 20 years’ experience in mineral processing design and operations (comminution circuits) or as a supplier of comminution equipment / services with significant commissioning and start-
up experience. Preference will be given to candidates with plant and operational experience, and those who have an understanding of complex ore deposits;
Specific fields of expertise required include : comminution circuit audits, debottlenecking and optimization of crushing and grinding circuits;

Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
Enthusiasm and proven ability for business development;

Fluent in English and French ;
Good knowledge of MS Office software;
