We are looking for a strong Mobile & Front End / Full Stack developer to develop and enhance front end facing applications for our e-
Claims enterprise solution. Our team is part of a larger TELUS Health team located in multiple locations across Canada and all having varying skills and responsibilities.

The Scrum team is comprised of 5 Developers, 2 Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts, 1 User Acceptance Tester (UAT) with support from Scrum Master, Product Owner and additional team members as necessary.
We have a collaborative team environment which is both flexible and supportive.
The TELUS Health e-Claims Portal enables Health care providers submit patient’s claims on their behalf using a centralized login to allow for immediate confirmation of the insurance company’s response.
Offers patients value and lower out-of-pocket expenses. Provides a direct link between patients and insurers to streamline claims processing and shorten reimbursement times for providers.
Roadmap is to build a new e-Claims mobile app to further enhance providers’ user experience.
Work with other team members, Architects, Business Analysts, and leaders to implement new business capabilities and troubleshoot issues
Interpret system requirements, define technical tasks and write detailed designs that meet business objectives
Deliver high quality code, following processes like code reviews, automated unit and functional tests , and supporting our testing teams in QA, UAT, and customer acceptance testing (CAT) environments
Coordinate technical dependencies with other teams; participate in multiple activities for complex projects in a cross functional multiple platform environment, all while following our deployment change management process
Make recommendations to improve processes, product quality, reliability, performance, maintainability, and scalability
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
Solid understanding of mobile & web-development
Excellent knowledge of Java, Angular, Cross-Platform & Native App Development
Strong understanding of object oriented principles
Good knowledge of scrum software development methodology
Ability to successfully complete complex assignments, delegate as required and provide appropriate communications
Native and Hybrid app development such as iOS, Android, React Native, Ionic etc
Experience with HyperText Markup Language (HTML) 5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) & jQuery
Experience with Angular or React
Unit testing & user interface (UI) automated testing on mobile platform
Experience with performance testing of apps
Knowledge of App Signing
Experience with deploying to Apple Store or Android Play Store
Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition (JEE)
Knowledge of IntelliJ / Eclipse, Git, Maven, Jenkins
Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
Self-directed, work independently and adapts quickly to change
Ability to multitask, manage time, and ability to handle urgent interruptions with poise and professionalism
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Creative / innovative thinking
Demonstrate a passion for designing and developing well architected, robust automated systems and frameworks ensuring high quality of code
Bachelor degree in a Computer Science related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5-8 years of experience in a technical development role involving the delivery of software
3+ years of experience developing mobile solutions for iOS or Android
Knowledge of Procedural Language for SQL (PL / SQL)
Bilingualism in English & French
Background in health care or health insurance industries
