Role Alberta Transportation is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and results driven candidate to be part of a diverse team that works together in providing support to the department construction and delivery program.
Under the guidance and mentorship of the Senior Road Closure Coordinator, you will support program delivery to meet the needs of districts, regions and municipalities specifically in processing municipal road closures, preparing service road agreements and caveats and conducting historical research for government owned property and Crown lands.
Your role is to provide information to surveyors, municipalities, development technologists and other ministries on the process to complete road closures as mandated under the Municipal Government Act, Highways Development and Protection Act, Land Titles Act and other applicable Statutes and Acts for Alberta related to legal survey, land transfer and registrations.
This position uses research and analytical skills to find solutions within the defined legislations and regulations. You will assist in the research and writing of Ministerial Order road closure packages.
Your excellent organizational skills and proficiency in computer software and programs will help you in maintaining and tracking database for all road closures, caveats and service agreements.
Your familiarity and understanding of related legislations, regulations and guidelines (i.e. Municipal Government Act, Highways Development and Protection Act, Land Titles Act, etc.
knowledge of legal closures of roads, caveats and transfer of titles along with your strong research and analytical skills will assist you to be successful in this role.
Superior writing skills and attention details are required.
Qualifications A University degree in a related field (Agriculture, Business Administration, Forestry, Environment, Geography) is required.
Research background and experience with provincial legislative and / or governance programs, including preparation of written materials such as briefing notes, reports and memos is required.
Experience with legal documentation such caveats and land titles registration is desired.

Salary $2,259.36 - $2,963.75 bi-weekly ($58,969 - $ 77,354 annually)
