    We are actively recruiting a highly energetic and motivated full-time Clinical Sleep Consultant for our Hamilton, ON location.

    In this role, the Clinical Sleep Consultant provides education on Obstructive Sleep Apnea and initiates CPAP,and BILEVEL therapy and other respiratory services and equipment as prescribed.

    They are responsible for ensuring patient safety and are committed to a patient’s sleep health compliance. They work directly with home care clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver the highest level of patient care possible.

    Additionally, they continuously work on growing CPAP business through excellent customer service.


  • Evaluate client therapies based on titration referrals and then determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians.
  • Conduct appointments and set-up of equipment for sleep diagnostic testing.
  • Initiates CPAP or BILEVEL treatment when prescribed, providing patient with instructions of use and cleaning of their equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining most up to date Sleep Apnea training to ensure that patients are receiving most current therapies and devices.
  • Provides appropriate follow-up to Clients to evaluate effects of treatment plan, comfort of Client when using treatment, recommending adjustments and modifications if required to increase compliance with therapy.
  • Recognizes client safety is of paramount importance in the VitalAire organization.
  • Responsible for sterilizing and testing all equipment.
  • Completes end of day administration tasks such as repairs, uploading invoices, deposits, completion of files, branch inventory and product replenishment, asset utilization and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Promotes products by suggesting related products and offer additional product information to assist customer needs.
  • Coordinates payment by preparation of funding documents, and maintaining knowledge of funding systems.
  • Maintains client confidence and protects VitalAire operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains quality records in relation to operations including but not limited to patient’s files.
  • Seeks to continuously improve the operation of the branch by evaluating processes and workflow, and participating in other quality improvement activities.
  • Provides student instruction, supervision and evaluation when necessary.

  • College Certificate or Diploma in a Technical / Medical Science field
  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
  • Registered RT (preferred) and / or Registered Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse;
  • Good knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and CPAP therapy
  • Excellent computer literacy with Google Platform and Microsoft applications
  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
