Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the execution and reinforcement of health and safety program.
Ensure environmental compliance with all permit and reporting requirements.
Provide direction on daily duties to employees to ensure safety standards are met, hold monthly safety meetings, review SOPs and demonstrate visible safety leadership.
Complete all reports and investigations within assigned timelines.
Ensure direct reports have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and have the resources to accomplish them.
Monitor equipment status and accurately track performance.
Inform, motivate, coach and manage crews to achieve and sustain optimal capacity and availability of production equipment and processes.
Minimum 3 years supervision experience.
Previous work experience in a grinding and flotation process.
Experience in a Collective Bargaining Agreement environment.
Working knowledge of the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC and regulatory framework.
Milling equipment knowledge and capabilities.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s licence.
