This role will be responsible for leading the IT Support team in an Apple OSX technical capacity focusing on IT client-based solutions enabling the development of games.

This role provides technical support for OSX scripting, including configuring and deploying new hardware, installing software, testing and troubleshooting issues, routine maintenance, ad hoc training, and researching new support methods.

Primary areas of support include Unix and Linux scripting, the administration of JAMF (Casper Suite) in an enterprise environment, Mac workstations for digital video and audio production, other specialty Mac computing clusters, as well as Mac laptops in a corporate environment.

Success will a self-starter approach and pro-active collaboration with Software Engineers, Technical Directors, Vendors and senior IT staff to solve for client issues affecting game development and studio operations.

On-call after hours support for local studio IT support organization is a requirement.


Key Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Unix and Linux scripting
  • Familiar with JAMF (Casper Suite) in a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of FileVault 2 and BitLocker drive encryption technologies
  • Demonstrated a history of taking initiative, providing innovative solutions and deployment of automated technology solutions
  • Platform-agnostic knowledge of systems administration in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking protocols and hardware
  • Strong understanding of microprocessor hardware and application across all device types
  • Able to act as a senior level key escalation point for all technical concerns
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of professional and consumer grade A / V hardware and related multimedia devices. Video Conferencing, VoIP and related technologies
  • Support knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk products and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Able to architect, engineer and document technology support strategy for a large enterprise user base
  • Strong understanding of current and future industry hardware standards
  • Senior level troubleshooting skills in a mission critical fast paced environment required
  • Responsibilities

  • Provide OSX scripting solutions
  • Provide frontline support for technical escalations
  • Manage Mac reporting, packaging and deployment
  • Provide technological leadership and guidance for business and development teams
  • Identify and implement technological process improvements leveraging infrastructure and tools
  • Maintain documentation of systems configurations and processes
  • Interface with global teams for triage and issue management of production and development environments.
  • Assist users with problem resolution and answer system usage questions.

  • Requirements

  • Strong technical skills and experience with Unix and Linux scripting.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with Apple Macs.
  • Strong client OS background including Windows 10 and Mac OS.
  • Familiar with agile development applications and methodology
  • Familiar with studio development applications including : Perforce, DevTrack, Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Microsoft XDK, Sony XDK / PRODG, and video conferencing.
  • Understanding of server OS components including web, application, and Db infrastructure.
  • Understanding of basic network protocols as well as network hardware.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills in a massive environment required.
