Located out of our Sherwood Park office, the Recruitment Specialist will report to the Supervisor, Recruitment and Learning & Development.

The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for creating recruiting plans, employing sourcing initiatives, as well as developing innovative and creative talent strategies.

Key Activities and Responsibilities :

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for multiple positions in diverse business units, from application stage to offer including : developing job ads;
  • coordinating approvals; determining and implementing recruitment strategies; and driving interview and offer process including salary recommendations

  • Establish a strong rapport with Inter Pipeline hiring managers to understand their strategic recruitment needs
  • Utilize and develop creative recruiting sources including social media, universities, technical schools, professional associations
  • Attract qualified internal and external candidates through posting on appropriate websites, job boards and internal Applicant Tracking System according to policies and processes
  • Build and maintain database of qualified professionals to rapidly respond to talent management needs
  • Recommend system improvements to current recruitment processes to proactively streamline efficiencies, while creating a cost effective, high quality service to Inter Pipeline
  • Attend career fairs and conferences to promote Inter Pipeline and diversify the pool of potential candidates for future positions
  • Dependent on location travel up to 25% may be required
  • Education, Skills and Experience :

  • 8+ years of full cycle and high-volume recruiting experience, preferably in the energy sector
  • Post-secondary education is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop lasting and productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Driven to provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment
  • Proven experience with direct sourcing, social media recruiting techniques and other current web-based employment strategies
  • Superior computer skills including experience with MS Word and Excel combined with ATS systems experience; Workday is an asset
  • Outstanding organization skills
  • Self-starter who enjoys taking initiative with an ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt easily to change
