Reporting to the Sr Corporate Tax Manager, Finance, Nutrien has an exciting Co-op Student opportunity within Finance. Providing invaluable work experience in a growing company, this position term will begin in September 2018 for a 8 month or 12 month term.

Key Tasks :

  • Assist with the completion of Canadian income tax returns and other information returns as required, related research on technical matters, and where required statutory audits by the Canada Revenue Agency and the provinces
  • Assist with the preparation of the income tax provision for budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting purposes
  • Assist with monthly withholdings, GST and PST
  • Involved with a variety special projects and analysis where required
  • Skills :

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Proficient in tax preparation software would be an asset
  • Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution in the Co-op Program with a focus on accounting or finance
