Job Description : Our Calgary client is hiring an Application Support Analyst who will be responsible for the support of the suite of applications currently managed by the Technology Team.
The role incumbent will also be responsible for providing technical information, troubleshooting, and support for business users (as Tier2 / 3 support), and will act as a liaison with vendors about support or enhancement issues.
Must Have Primary Skills :
Strong knowledge of SQL databases, able to write and understand complex SQL queries, and perform database maintenance tasks
Knowledge of operating systems, setup, installation, and configuration (Windows 10, Windows Server, Linux)
Experience with writing command-line scripts (batch files and / or PowerShell)
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related fields
5+ years of technical experience in IT support or a related field

Proven Experience In :
Troubleshooted issues and provided solutions to users independently, or working with vendor support resources at Tier 2 / 3 support
Reviewed and queried data, evaluated data quality, fix data issues using T-SQL / SQL Management Studio
Participated and lead various tasks such as rolling out software patches, enhancements, and fixes, as well as working with vendor support resources in other time-zones
Worked with non-technical users to solve technical issues, or recommend solutions
Worked as a technical resource on various projects and operation tasks to install, upgrade, and configure client and server software
