What This Position Is All About :

This role reports directly to Vice President, Finance Transformations & Systems

Major Responsibilities :

As a leader in the Finance Applications & Projects COE, this position is responsible for managing and ensuring the effective operation of all non-

ERP financial applications and related extensions for the enterprise. The role requires building and maintaining strong partnerships with all areas of Finance and IT functional leadership and close collaboration with external vendors in support of both current operations and our ongoing significant transformation agenda.

Many of the non-ERP applications and extensions are mission-critical to our operations.

  • Proficiency with Access databases, SQL, MS Visual Basic for applications, MS Excel including VB macros
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle ERP, including building extracts, interfaces and data models;
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of core Finance processes (primarily Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, General Ledger);
  • Exposure too, and ideally experience with, design and implementation of Robotics Process Automation (RPA);
  • Strong Project Management;
  • Managing teams, and ideally management of teams in India
  • Exposure too, and ideally experience with, Trintech products (Cadency).
  • As the Manager, Financial Applications, You Will :

  • Work closely with the various Finance functional teams to scope, plan and execute changes to the applications and extensions to support the business;
  • React quickly to production / operational issues, assess / triage problems and provide effective resolutions which would include working with both Finance and IT;
  • Be engaged in and understand planned systems and process changes across Finance and the rest of the organization (all upstream and downstream applications), assess potential impacts to the non-
  • ERP applications, extensions and databases in their portfolio and proactively plan, communicate and implement changes to maintain operations;
  • Be the prime vendor relationship contact for several of our non-ERP Finance applications (e.g. Cadency, ZenDesk, etc.), working closely to expand application capabilities;
  • build strong relationships across all areas of IT (e.g. support, infrastructure, development) and Finance (onshore & offshore) to effectively deliver on their responsibilities;
  • This role will be also fill a key lead position in the planning and implementation of RPA (robotic process automation) across Finance and ensuring the knowledge transfer / knowledge capture of capabilities from Accenture to HBC to leverage in other areas of Finance and HBC broadly.
  • Manage and maintain the smooth and timely operations of the broad array of non-ERP databases, files loads / transfers, applications, reporting and job scheduling to support the operation of various Finance functions (e.
  • g. AP, Payroll, Travel & Expense, Sales Audit, Accounting, FP&A, etc.);
  • Prioritization, project scoping, resourcing, planning and execution of upgrades, updates and modifications to the applications and extensions portfolio, including proactive planning and coordination with Finance function owners on required changes;
  • Collaborative design, project management and implementation of automation / process optimization across Finance, including expanded use of functionality available through existing applications / tools and the introduction of RPA (robotic process automation) and AI.

  • Ability to work independently and bring strong experience in resolving technical application run time errors;
  • Understanding of specific user environments and how they affect reference libraries and VBA built applications;
  • Understanding of end-user reporting requirements and ability to translate into technical requirements for fulfillment;
  • Ability to communicate, express and resolve technical issues directly with end-users in a professional manner;
  • Daily interaction with Finance leads across multiple functions, both onshore and offshore.
  • Daily interaction with IT teams (development, support and infrastructure);
  • Coordination and cross-team support within the Finance Applications and Projects COE
