The Opportunity : Corporate Tax Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for advising Canadian corporations (private and public) and subsidiaries of foreign companies on corporate tax matters.

Other responsibilities include review of tax compliance work, tax accounting and coordinating other specialized tax services for clients.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and to be the primary resource person for clients.

The Corporate Tax Manager will be taking on a high level of responsibility and visibility within the firm. As Corporate Tax Manager, you will be required to share your sector knowledge and technical expertise, not only with clients but also with the professionals working under your supervision.

Responsibilities :

  • Review federal / provincial tax returns for corporations, partnerships and trusts.
  • Review tax accounting provisions.
  • Tax-related consulting, research and analysis.
  • Support in the event of tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
  • Involvement in all aspects of corporate tax clientele management, including budgeting, engagement letters, resource and work allocation, billing, etc.
  • Staff coaching, training and supervision.
  • Requirements :

  • CA designation or other accounting / professional designation.
  • Must have successfully completed or be currently enrolled in CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Course
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Corporate Tax
  • Corporate tax-related research, advisory and compliance experience in a professional services firm or other relevant sector is essential.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients.
  • Sense of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Commitment to excellence and personal investment.
  • Bilingualism (an asset)
