The Opportunity

The District Sales Manager will lead the team to buildrelationships, generate and execute sales objectives for the Retail andLicensee Channels within Ontario.

They are responsible for coaching anddeveloping Territory Managers to ensure an aligned approach to generating salesrelated to Moosehead products along with our Partner brands in all channels ofdistribution.

Responsibilities

  • Dedicated time for coaching and training sales team in theretail and licensee channels.
  • Ensure that the key retail and licensee objectives for theTerritory Managers are aligned with the corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and sales team todevelop key custr relationships and strategies.
  • Work with sales team to implement new sales techniques toobtain profits.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price bykeeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators,and competitors.
  • Expense budget management
  • Creation of distribution drives and programs in both theretail and licensee channels.
  • Participate and develop content for quarterly provincialsales meetings
  • Participate in the hiring, orientation, training, anddevelopment of sales staff.
  • Responsible for performance reviews, employee discipline,planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Qualifications

  • University Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing people in the CPGenvironment.
  • Packaged goods sales experience (preference given to thosewith sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry).
  • Strong experience in managing salespeople calling on theretail and licensee channels.
  • Proven record to lead teams and strong interpersonal skills
  • Goal oriented, sets high standards, focused on results withdemonstrated ability to meet sales goals.
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, andthe ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Negotiation skills (influencing & communication skillsare necessary)
  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem solving anddecision-making skills
  • Given the nature of our business it requires workingflexible hours and may include some evenings and weekends.
  • Must be competent in the use of computer productivitysoftware : Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Own a reliable vehicle & hold a valid driver's license(drivers abstract will be required)
