The RBWM Digital (internet banking, mobile app banking, ATM and telephone banking) strategy entails making it easier for our busy and on-

the-go clients to bank with us securely and quickly, and we are seeking talented professionals who are keen to contribute to HSBC’s digital revolution and work with a growing team of experts from around the world.

A day in the life of a Content Producer include the following : The Content Producer role is responsible for planning the overall digital content strategy and execution for HSBC Bank Canada RBWM, including the coordination of VADM (Value Added Direct Messages + email), mobile, branch and offline activities.

The role is accountable for identifying and communicating innovative ideas, supporting the design and development of features and functionality, and generally leading initiatives across multiple digital channels.

Responsibilities include :

  • Accountability for identifying and communicating innovative ideas and touch points to improve performance, while planning the overall execution and coordination of analytics to demonstrate performance and success.
  • Awareness of industry best practice and ability to coordinate other work streams to provide a holistic view of activity across the market.
  • Leading definition and scoping of content approach for new strategic initiatives working with global and in-country teams, stakeholders and 3rd party service providers.
  • Planning and strategizing the execution of digital initiatives across all relevant channels including offline.
  • Coordination of the production of digital copy (global and local in multiple languages), ensuring content authors have secured approval from stakeholders as required.
  • Potential line-management accountability for a team, in which case a proportion of time (20-30%) will be people-focused rather than task-focused.
  • Execution and delivery of content journeys across the digital channels, to meet global and local needs.
  • The global nature of the centre of excellence is likely to necessitate some international travel for meetings with stakeholders and occasional workshops lasting multiple days.
  • When operating from the home country, some schedule flexibility will be required to allow for daily / weekly interaction with centre of excellence team members and project teams from all Regions via video and voice conference.


    Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or Project Management welcomed.
  • Experience and understanding of web publishing tools, content management systems and capabilities and automated translation platforms.
  • Previous experience in campaign management and / or editorial calendar creation.
  • Previous experience in a translation or localisation environment.
  • Experience delivering localized digital content across multiple platforms, especially mobile.
  • A working understanding of web technology tools such as XML, HTML, Photoshop, and varying digital asset types.
  • Localization budget and vendor management experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, priorities and vendors concurrently.
  • Strong analytical, project management and planning skills and the ability to work with multiple teams.
  • Good understanding of project methodology, frameworks and best practice and in particular Agile.
  • Subject Matter Expertise of channel, including technical, commercial, market place and customer considerations.
  • Innovative the ability to approach things differently or do different things to deliver goals.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues.
  • Pragmatic decision making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments based on a range of factors, e.g. commercials, risk, customer experience;
  • determine the implications and make recommendations as needed.

  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success.
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all 5 regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe) .
