Seeking an experienced General Insurance Salesperson in Duncan Lines of Business :

The CSR handles various types and lines of insurance. Qualifications :

The CSR has a minimum 4 years insurance experience and carries a General Insurance Salesperson Level 1 License or a General Agent Level 2 Insurance License through the Insurance Council of British Columbia.

Duties include but are not limited to : Customer Service & Producer Support :

  • Provide friendly, professional service to customers and producers
  • Handle routine customer and producer inquiries / concerns
  • Manage daily administration including correspondence, policy wording review, contract & lease agreement review, issuance of new and renewal documentation
  • Take and report claims immediately
  • Return all customer inquiries with a turn-around time of no longer than 24 hours
  • Ensure work is prompt, efficient and accurate
  • Prepare submissions for marketing purposes, negotiate terms and conditions with underwriters
  • Review renewals 120 days prior to renewal expiry date Administration :
  • Maintain accounts receivable lists weekly, liaising with the Manager on progress
  • Maintain expiration lists and abeyance files
  • File / scan files
  • Handle / maintain files
  • Ensure all documents are accurate and files are kept in an orderly manner
  • Review all certificates, binders, invoicing and payments, delegating to the commercial assistant / reception for processing.
  • Manage emails and calendar system daily, ensuring all emails are responded to in the same day Team Support :

  • Improve our organization by sharing ideas and opinions, contributing and building communication in all directions and levels
  • Assist others as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Professional Conduct :
  • Maintain security in accordance with internal control
  • Adhere to authorized underwriting guidelines and policies
  • Adhere to guidelines and best practices set forth by the Insurance Council of British Columbia, and other licensing bodies as applicable
  • At all times, respect the privacy and confidentiality of all customers and staff information
  • Respect the importance of attendance and punctuality and the impact it has on the rest of the team
