As Communication Designer (Media Planner) you are responsible for managing your client’s media planning product. You will prepare and present media plans, proposals and analyses, and also considered a leadership position amongst junior staff
Essential Responsibilities :
Preparing, writing & presenting plans, proposals & analyses
Ensuring media plans meet client objectives with fully supported documentation
Preparing and presenting evaluations of media opportunities, media trends and issues of interest to clients
Initiating and coordinating the media buying process and encouraging executions that deliver exceptional results
Maintaining stewardship of the media plan, regularly evaluating and monitoring execution of the client’s media product
Build and maintain strong client relationships and respectful partner relationships
Support and foster career development of junior staff
Generating accurate and timely client financial reports (e.g. budget control reports, blocking charts)
Negotiating, purchasing and monitoring all media executions, therefore connecting all buying groups
Informing appropriate personnel of potential issues and opportunities as it relates to brand plans
Contributing to improvement of overall Initiative product
Regular status updates to direct reports and team members
Participating in additional agency / team projects
Attending media seminars and presentations professional development
Job Specifications :
Post-secondary education, advertising or marketing preferred
1-2 years’ experience in media
Strong written & oral communication skills
Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Proficiency with syndicated and proprietary media research tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with an integrated advertising agency an asset
