Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT, Enterprise Applications, Finance, the Solution Delivery Manager is a strong techno-functional resource that will work directly with Nutrien’s Finance Team to ensure existing systems are maintained, opportunities identified for improvement, and will ensure projects move forward on time and within budget.
The Solution DeliveryManager will need to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and will be responsible for coordinating work with IT team members, vendors, business stakeholders and other resources to establish and implement effective solutions to business problems
Key Tasks :
Serves as Liaison between IT and Finance Partners
Build Understanding of Finance Business Process and the technology that supports it
Intake work requests from Finance. Translates Business needs to Functional & Technical requirements documentation
Collaborates with Finance to prioritize backlogs for resolution & development
Develop business cases for Finance related application projects that enable business capabilities or reduce technical debt
Own and address business incidents from identification through resolution
Identify opportunities for improvement within business process and technology solutions related to the finance domain
Supports short and medium-term road mapping activities
Responsible for Quality Implementation and Support of Finance Related Software
Monitors performance of Managed Services teams that support finance applications
Provides direction to Managed Services supporting Finance applications to match work to finance priorities
Collaboratively works with Managed Services team on solution design for complex business problems
Performs Proof of Concept work related to key business initiatives
Act as an Operational Lead resource within IT Finance Support Team
Understands, advocates and supports enterprise strategies
Responsible for work estimation within domain
Collaboratively works with other teams to assess downstream impacts to finance group
Serves as either a project manager (small initiatives) or technical lead to ensure business value is provided in a timely, cost-effective manner
Assists in resource planning
Champion Continuous improvement within IT Team
Understand emerging technologies and assess their potential use for meeting the business needs of Nutrien.
Maintain technical knowledge of existing application roadmaps
Champions technology improvements that drive business value
Mentors others on the team
Assists in Stakeholder Communication
Maintains monthly work list for Finance team, and tracks progress throughout the month
Monitors work list progress on a weekly basis to identify risks to commitment of delivered activities
Assists in preparation of regular status reporting to be presented to IT and Finance Management
Demonstrates history of continuous training & learning in technology, leadership and communication
Strong Interpersonal skills adept at building and maintaining strong working relationships and collaborating and communicating effectively in a business environment.
Capability to deal with all levels within the organization, from Executive team to front line employee
Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams. Experience working and leading off-shore teams is a strong preference.
Superior Time Management skills. Able to support multiple project initiatives simultaneously
Proven ability to develop consensus among diverse teams
Proficient in translating business problems into detailed requirements and technical specifications Adept at developing business cases, requirement documentation and test plans to support system activity
Flexible and able to work with varying levels of uncertainty.
Comfortable working independently with stakeholders, as well as alongside colleagues within a team environment
History of serving as Technical Lead and / or Project Manager on project initiatives
Experience applying the processes of the Software Development Life Cycle
Graduate of a recognized university with a degree in computer science, engineering, business or other relevant field. Educational and experience equivalents will also be considered.
Minimum of 7 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in supporting ERP applications solution design and development, including cross-
domain experience with a strong preference for proficient understanding in SAP
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Finance related modules
Ability to travel
