This position is responsible for site supervision of hydro power plant equipment installations, upgrades and maintenance.
Work will include hydro-turbine, generator, control equipment and all electrical and mechanical support equipment. Ensures work is performed in accordance with federal, state, corporate and customer safety regulations;
contractual requirement; schedule; quality standards; and within budget. This position is accountable to help maintain a healthy, continuous improvement work environment so that project management and technical practices are developed, incorporated and shared across the organization.

Site Manager in preparing standard project plan not limited to work packages, lift plans, resource management, project schedule, laydown plans, etc.
prior to outage / installation for use and review throughout project start up and execution.
Supervise erection efforts of hydro-electric equipment.
Single point accountability for shift planning, project execution and employees. Use resources effectively to meet or exceed project goals which include the following :
Safety - Ensures work is performed in accordance with federal, state, corporate and customer safety regulations. Employee will manage weekly & daily audits / inspections, inspection of equipment, and safety meetings.
Ensure crew has proper training, instruction and toosl to do job safely.
Quality - The goal is to provide the highest quality products and workmanship. Receipt, care and proper identification of parts.
Identify issues and troubleshoot quality problems. Ensure work is performed in accordance with inspection / test plan and field service erection manual.
Cost - The goal is to help maintain or improve field budget position. Support Site Manager to accomplish budget goals.
Schedule - the goal is to adhere to contract schedule. Support the Site Manager to achieve project milestones. Assist with controlling and monitoring of schedule and provide updates and input to Site Manager for recovery planning.
Scope - Must have a thorough understanding of contract and scope of work.
Maintain superior customer relationships by setting high quality, safety and professional standards for all staff on site ( uphold Values).
Develop / Maintain open and frequent communication on site progress to stakeholders.
Read, review and understand all technical drawings and specifications.
Ability to write technical reports and business correspondence to internal stakeholders.
Computer skills required including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Windows, and internet.
Must be able to consistently prioritize and complete multiple tasks in the time allotted with minimal supervision.
Continuously improve field performance by obtaining and sharing best practices and ideas.
Identify and communicate additional sales opportunities to Site Manager.
Directs & sets priorities for shift supervision.
Meets with the floor team to ensure proper site coordination and commitment to project schedule.
Review contractual documentation (drawings, specifications, bills of material, etc.) to ensure compliance with the contract and standards.
Safe utilization of tools and equipment for power industry.
Other duties as assigned.
Principal Working Relationships
Field Operations Management
Combination of higher education (some journeyman trades accepted) and experience. Candidate will have at least 4 years of education and / or relevant experience.
OSHA 30 certified and first aid / CPR certified preferred and will be required prior to site assignment.

Ability to direct work and motivate both union and non-union personnel to accomplish goals.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and contracts.
Must understand the legal and technical aspects of the contract and have the ability to discuss and report.
Must have a high degree of ethics and morals.
Must be professional in appearance and behavior.
Must be able to handle finances on the company's behalf.
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to support operations.
Ability to operate a vehicle and possess / maintain a valid driver's license.
Physical Capabilities :
Must be able to properly wear and utlizie appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e. safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, safety boots / shoes, fall protection harnesses, life jackets, etc.
Must be able to properly lift 40 lbs. and carry it 10 feet.
Must be able to enter / exit through small entries (man doors)
Must be able to climb ladders, climb steps, etc. on a daily basis.
Must be able to evacuate site within required parameters.
Site Supervisor in construction industry.
Hydro or other power generating plant design, operation and / or maintenance.
Navy nuclear power or power propulsion systems.
Journeyman in one of the following trades such as, Machinist, Boilermarker, Welder, Electrician, Millwright, Ironworker, Pipefitter, etc.
Other Qualifications or Requirements
Travel will be 100%
