Some of the key duties include :

  • Analyzes, adapts and / or maintains administrative systems, methods and procedures. Assesses effectiveness of services provided;
  • and implements proposed changes. (AS-02)

  • Monitors emerging issues affecting the day to day operations of the organization, determines the urgency, priority and relevance of documents, information and communications and identifies problems or concerns. (AS-02)
  • Sets the operational framework of the automated issues tracking system, including the development of required processes and mechanisms, so as to ensure effective control of issues requiring immediate attention and monitor the development of effective and timely responses at all stages of preparation from inception to closure. (AS-03)
  • Interacts with program managers and subject matter specialists involved in the development of adequate responses to current issues, provides advice and assistance, as required, and ensures appropriate conditions are met as far as accuracy, timeliness and completeness. (AS-03)

    The Pay Administration Branch (PAB) of PSPC is responsible for managing the public service compensation functions of the Government of Canada.

    Intent of the process

    The intent of this appointment process is to staff various positions at various levels within the Pay Administration Branch of PSPC.

    Pools of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various linguistic profiles and various security requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

  • AEX1- Experience as a Pay and Integrity Officer in a Public Works and Government Services Canada Regional Pay Office;
  • AEX2- Experience as a Unit Security Officer;

  • AEX5- Experience dealing with ministerial correspondence;

  • AEX22- Experience in providing governance support to committees, including the coordination of meetings and special events, the preparation of meeting documents, the development of agendas and the production of minutes / records of decision;
  • AEX23- Experience in research and analysis on the management and coordination of human resources strategic planning and requests for information and appropriately routing requests for response in a timely manner;
  • AEX24- Experience in the provision of compensation services within the Federal Public Service;
  • AEX25- Experience in the use of computer systems used in the Compensation and Benefits area;
  • AEX26- Experience in the use of the financial system SIGMA (SAP) and the Material Management Module (MM);
  • AEX27- Experience in verification and quality assurance;
  • AEX28- Experience preparing reports related to one or more of the following business activities business planning, the Management Accountability Framework, Plans and Priorities or other governance processes;
  • AEX29- Experience providing secretariat support to interdepartmental meetings, conferences or management committees;

    Be willing and able to work overtime on short notice

    Conditions of employment

    Reliability Status security clearance - Various security clearance levels : Reliability Status or Secret.

    Note : Those selected must meet and maintain the required security clearance throughout their employment.

    Your experiences will be evaluated according to the level of complexity and depth of your explanation, and will determine the group and level for which you will be considered.

    These criteria may be a deciding factor in choosing the persons to be appointed. Therefore, it is important that you answer each of the questions related to these requirements.
