IBISKA has immediate opportunities for Telecom / Network Systems Specialists to augment our Technical Team supporting a large Federal Government client.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on change requests for telecommunication systems;
Recommend telecommunication system solutions, specifically on WAN backbone networks, for discrepancies, deficiencies, and changes to equipment and configurations;
Liaise with telecommunication sub-system technical and user groups for clarification of system change requirements, efficient network impact analysis, system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability;
Analyze and integrate telecommunication systems based on specific customer requirements and recommended implementation plans;
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on telecommunication system components and associated documentation;
Participate in design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems;
Conduct telecommunication system integration testing and evaluation;
Analyze telecommunication system deficiencies and recommend cost effective solutions; and
Design, manage and maintain telecommunication systems.
Skills / Experience Required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Telecom / Network Systems Specialist;
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on a TCP / IP router-based wide area network with 150+ router nodes;
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on network engineering solutions with telecommunications service providers;
Experience using Internet Protocol (IP) Multi- Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network technology;
Experience analyzing the impact of new applications or application changes on Wide Area Networks (WANs);
Familiarity with Cisco ACS, Cisco Prime LMS or Cisco Works; and
Hold at Secret security clearance.
