Alberta Blue Cross has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, results-driven Product Manager to join our team.

This position will lead and be responsible for all aspects of product development as well as enhancements to existing Alberta Blue Cross products.


  • Provide expertise, leadership and support on the development and enhancement of Alberta Blue Cross products.
  • Utilize trends along with knowledge of our customers’ needs, the evolving health and technology and competitive landscapes to identify gaps and opportunities with current product offerings.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of the product vision and strategy by working collaboratively with Senior Management and key stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-team collaboration to define the product features, pricing and high level business capability requirements necessary to deliver a product to market.
  • Develop the product business case, including return-on-investment analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders who will execute the implementation strategies / system changes / operational initiatives to successfully implement the product and provide support for product training, marketing and sales efforts.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills coupled with strong skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Proven management and leadership skills including relationship building, performance management, and continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical ability with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Product development or project management experience is a strong asset.
