Position Responsibilities :
Fermar Paving Limited requires an Assistant Site Superintendent who, under the direction of the Site Superintendent, will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of project management on worksites.

Your responsibilities will be to assist the Site Superintendent in the following areas :
Onsite management of daily construction activities
Coordination and Supervision of labour force, subcontractors and suppliers
Monitor Health and Safety compliance
Coordinating and interacting with on-site owners / clients representatives
Preparing and submitting daily work records
Monitoring of construction schedule in compliance with contract drawings and specifications
Procurement of construction materials and supplies
Preparing and submitting daily work records / time sheets to head office
All onsite measuring required to ensure accurate invoicing including transferring this information to office staff / project manager
Ordering, receiving and distributing utility locates
Minimum of 3-5 years civil construction experience in a field role
Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Ability to read and understand project drawings and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Possess a valid driver’s license
Ability to operate in high stress environment
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain organization and work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, motors, and air brake systems
Overtime as required including nights and weekends
