The Network Technology Strategy and Architecture organization is looking for a Senior Analytics Architect that has real-
world experience in designing highly reliable core services within a Service Operator ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Technology Development Video and Analytics, the successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of their data analytics, E2E service designs, and operational experience to develop technology strategies and play a critical role in how to improve our core services on the Rogers Network.
This position requires forward thinking, strong communication skills, and collaborate with various cross-functional teams across Rogers.
Provide technical leadership and requirements to improve service reliability, performance, and analytics of Rogers core services (video, voice, data, wireless).
Work closely with Data Scientists and peers to develop deep and complete analytics solutions for Roger core network
Shape desired business outcomes to appropriate mix of analytics and Big Data architectural principles
Evolve and improve the current data supply chain
Development of 1-3 year analytics strategies and roadmaps, including standards, and best practices to facilitate introduction of new technologies into the network
Assist in the development of the annual operating plan, forecasts, and budgets
Apply critical-thinking to drive towards the best customer experience possible
Integrates new data sources into network designs for analysis
Works closely with the IT / Network Architects, and cross functional teams for data architecture designs and integrations
Collaboration : Involves others to leverage additional knowledge or skills that lead to increased understanding.
Initiative : Proactively identifies present and future obstacles, issues, and opportunities. Takes actions to address such obstacles.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Masters in Machine Learning, Statistics
10+ years of real-world experience architecture, data analysis, and design of Big Data and is viewed as a subject matter expert
Has knowledge of more than one field of data analytics or a high degree of specialization in one particular area of data engineering
Keeps conversant with advanced technological developments
Understands, advocates, and supports the integration of network technology strategies
Originality and ingenuity are required for devising practical and economical solutions to problems
Detailed knowledge of current and next generation Data and Analytics Platforms : Data Acquisition from consumer mobile, web, and STB devices.
Data Acquisition from internal and external service operator platforms Data Delivery platforms (kinesis, kafka, spark, storm, etc.
Data ETL tools (spark, storm, Hadoop, EMR). Visualization tools (Microstrategy, tableau, excel). Data mapping languages for data manipulation (Scala, Python, Java, R)
Cloud computing, virtualization, monitoring, event capturing tools, data streaming tools
Application Software requirements specifications, analysis and design principles.
Data Application Software Testing & Quality Assurance (AWS Lambda functions, SOAPUI)
Software Methodologies for Converged Networks and Services.
