Supervise the Production department, the people and systems, actively participate and be involved in a high performance cross-
functional team environment including participation or leading Six Sigma initiatives.
Accountable and responsible for KPI’s while communicating results daily and in a timely accord
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and be proactive in the elimination of workplace accidents. This includes conducting proper accident investigations, identifying the root cause and developing corrective actions.
Responsible for a safe working environment by educating and directing employees on the use of equipment and resources while ensuring compliance with the OHSA, JHSC recommendations or MOL work orders, Company safety rules
Responsible for ensuring compliance with effective implementation of GMPs, HACCP (including documentation) and relevant CFIA regulations
Support QA with investigation around food safety issues related to processing
Actively participate and prepare for internal & external audits at the facility.
Administration of the Collective Agreement and other company policies and procedures
Monitors the performance of all personnel, and activities on a regular basis to ensure achievement of production objectives, to ensure optimal performance, proper training and provide feedback as necessary through various forms
Foster a positive employee relations’ environment by communicating effectively with employees, team leaders, peers and cross-functional teams
Maintain professional behaviors in all dealings with employees, colleagues and other departments.
Work with team leader to ensure alignment in daily tasks and goals
Be action orientated and takes initiative in the day to day business needs
Continuously improves the manufacturing process in Supporting Six Sigma methodologies by identifying opportunities and breakthrough thinking.
Maintain the highest standards for quality, customer service and recognizing that Food Safety is the Number One Priority.

Oversees administrative duties of team leader, ensures accuracy and investigates further when required.

The successful candidate will posses a relevant post secondary education
Minimum of 3 years previous production supervisory experience
Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports
Ability to enforce systems, policies and procedures.
Proven initiative and leadership skills
Ability to work flexible day and afternoon shifts
Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change
Experience and commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices
Knowledge of HACCP and Provincial Health and Safety Regulations
