quality services that exceed our clients’ expectations. Human Resources Administrator Purpose :
The Human Resources Administrator supports the People Team (HR) in the delivery of day-to-day operations, and is the first point of contact for HR related inquiries.
The HR Administrator is responsible for the administration and information management for all HR activities, programs and systems, while supporting employees and managers through the full life cycle of the employment relationship.
Coordinate and support the recruitment process with the Resourcing team
Conduct new employee orientation for new hires
Processes new hires - including handling employment contracts, terminations, promotions and transfers for all staff
Oversees HRIS data - processing, verifying and maintaining documentation related to employee files and activities
Coordinates leave administration, liaising with benefits analyst and benefits adjudicator as required.
Conducts regular HR data audits in HRIS systems and files
Responds to employee inquires on policies, procedures, benefits, etc.
Handles external requests for employment verification and reference checks. Prepares confirmation of employment letters.
Update and maintain training records, certifications and clearances of staff
Generates standard reports and may be requested to create new reports (i.e. headcount, mobilizations, rates, etc.)
Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labour laws
Maintain and update location email directories in conjunction with IT
Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and special HR projects (research, reports, presentations) as assigned
Provides back-up support to the Canada East People Team as needed
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience :
Minimum 2 years of experience, ideally in an engineering or technical services environment
Experienced with ERP, Payroll & Recruitment systems (Oracle, SAP, ADP, PeopleSuccess, and Taleo is an asset)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism
Handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Ability to work both as a team player and independently. Working collaboratively with the People Team across the business.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training : Required :
Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources Management, combined with related experience
Reporting and Location :
The position reports to the Human Resources Manager
